There were 15 hikers on this new circular route of 11.8 kms, though it did include some stretches that were familiar to us.

After an easy flat walk from the parking area, we climbed from 350m to 570m in 1.4 kms. Then it was downhill to the small waterfall, and on to the refurbished pontoon at Mee Jok for a breakfast break.

At the ‘crossroads’ to the second upward gradient, six of our members decided to take the low road back to HTT, leaving nine of us to climb to 650 m in a distance of 2.5 km. It was a tough climb so we rested several times en route but were rewarded with a wonderful view over HTT before starting the downward gradient.

Lunch and liquid refreshment according to taste was most welcome at the end of this challenging but very enjoyable hike.

Here is the link to the original hike description which also has a gps trail attached.
